"Donald Fraser House" was designed for banker Donald Fraser in 1885, by architect William Newlands. This Victorian beauty is a stunning 3 bay, 3 storey, high brick foundation house, meticulously restored to its original splendour.
The corners of the facade have quoins with raised panels and the channeled hood-molds, over all windows, have decorative keystones and ends. Grand, paired doors open to a vast foyer with original plaster reliefs, propelling you into a design masterpiece.
Vaulted ceilings, cut glass & period chandeliers draw the eye up, whilst the decorative styles of times past are easily apparent. The granite accented, eat-in kitchen, holds wonderful space, overlooking the rear courtyard, affording time for family to share together.
Separate dining room & parlour each beg for entertainment and memories to be made. The upper levels connect large bedrooms & a bathroom, featuring a claw-foot tub, to a gentleman's retreat at the top. The walkout lower level has an amazing custom pub, complete with 3 taps & a 500-bottle wine room & a large office with exposed brickwork.
All systems have been completely upgraded to today's standards. The rear courtyard is a summer oasis, with an in-ground pool, surrounded by stamped concrete deck. It is a complete compound; protecting family and pets to roam freely about the property. Double, electric gates open to a two-car, brick garage with loft space.
