On one of the most attractive streets in town, lined with 19th century houses, this limestone building still manages to catch the eye. Erected in 1845 as a bank, it was a private mens club in 1903 and a century later became this exemplary bed and breakfast. The frontenac club inn, located in the heart of kingstons historic downtown, is a block from lake ontario and close to queens university. It is a short walk to boat tours, theaters, restaurants (from informal to gourmet), great independent shops, art galleries, museums and the krock centre. Attached is the historic cartwright house where you can still see evidence of the former bowling lanes. An extraordinary property that speaks to kingstons rich and distinctive history and should be on every visitors list of kingston landmarks not to be missed.
