Kingston Mills is the first of the 24 lock stations that comprise the Rideau Canal. Built around the pristine Colonel By Lake, this picturesque neighbourhood has some of the most stunning waterfront panoramas in the city. Initially established during the construction of the Rideau Canal, Kingston Mills is an old neighbourhood with some homes dating as far back as the late 1800s. Residents are passionate about enjoying life on the water; on balmy summer days the lake brims with activity. Although the peaceful serenity of Kingston Mills can make it seem remote, downtown Kingston is only 15 minutes away.
