Named after the army base that is at the heart of the neighbourhood, CFB Kingston is mostly comprised of military families or students attending the Royal Military College of Canada. In addition to the amenities offered by the military base such as the large Rec & Leisure Centre, residents are close to the Garrison Golf and Curling Club and Fort Henry. The neighbourhood is within easy distance of downtown Kingston and its many events, restaurants and activities.
